andy-cropped140Andrew (Andy) Sargent hails from Maidstone, Kent England, where he attended the local Technical High School. He was accepted at Hornsey College of Art for the 1974/ 75 academic year and progressed to Middlesex Polytechnics Faculty of Environmental Technology & Interior Design, from which he graduated with BA (Hons) degree in 1979.
During his tenure at Middlesex he participated in an educational exchange programme with the Architectural Department of Syracuse University in upstate New York.
Andrew has worked with a number of leading architectural & design practices specialising in small to medium scale residential & commercial design projects. He is currently working towards full membership of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. He has been involved with Fulcrum Building Design in its current format, since it’s inception in 2006. When time permits Andrew sails & skis and has had a long interest in architectural history, classic cars and historic motor racing

mathias-mono140Mathias was born in 1964 in Germany. He studied at the Technical University in Dresden and graduated in 1989 with a Diploma in Architecture. He gained professional experience by working for medium-sized architectural practices in Dresden and in 1995 he went on to join Neufert Mittmann Graf Partner, a major German architectural firm. In 1998 Mathias moved to the UK and has since lived and worked in London. In 2006 he and his former colleagues Andrew and Dean set up Fulcrum Building Design ltd. Mathias is a Director of the company and is registered with the ARB, the Architects Registration Board. Mathias has extensive experience in small to large-scale residential developments, listed buildings, projects in conservation areas, as well as in the commercial sector, especially in retail and office developments. Mathias Franke 07736 129639

dean140Dean Willars was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1970. He studied architectural technology in the late 1980′s in Johannesburg. Dean has travelled extensively across the African continent and worked in many countries in East Africa. Early in his career, he designed and managed the construction of an Eco-lodge in the remote Loita Hills on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, Kenya. Dean has lived in London since 1997 where he has worked on large and small residential projects, retail and office design as well as restaurant projects. In 2006 FBD was set up with former colleagues Andy and Mathias. Dean has developed a reputation for achieving planning permission in sensitive conservation areas for new build dwellings, conversions and commercial office space with an emphasis on environmentally-responsible design Dean Willars   07974 086475
